Through an integrated design process drawing on the experience of customer¹s design team and NEES company¹s consultants, the team examines the state of the art energy efficient design features and equipment options. Design 2000 helps customers make smart choices.
Key features of Design 2000 include, Technical Assistance, Cash Incentives, Design Incentives, and Commissioning Services. For Heavy water-users, NEES will also provide a screening-level assessment of opportunities for water-use reduction and water re-use, including a projected cost-benefit analysis. The Massachusetts Office of Technical Assistance (OTA) for Toxics Use Reduction provides free, confidential analysis to help companies eliminator reduce the use of materials, which pose health, safety and/or environmental concerns.
In cases where toxics cannot be eliminated from a process, OTA helps the company look for ways to ensure that the least waste is produced; making sure process are as efficient as possible. OTA¹s focuses pollution prevention a cost-effective approach with bottom-line benefits resulting from loss prevention, increased worker safety, and reduced treatment/waste disposal costs and, in many cases, reduced regulatory burden.
